the basics

Be sure to remove your jewellery before entering any aquatic environment, whilst conducting cleaning tasks or whilst doing exercise. Always gently wipe your jewellery clean to remove skin oils and makeup, and thoroughly dry your jewellery with a clean, dry, soft cloth once it has been exposed to water.

Makeup, perfume and hairspray can damage your jewellery... make sure your accessories are the last thing to be put on before you walk out the door!

Avoid scratching your jewellery by storing it in separate compartments within your jewellery box.

do'S & don'ts

Delicate pieces should not be worn every day.

Diamond pieces should be professionally cleaned and checked once a year. Regularly checking your jewellery reduces the chance of broken claws or settings being ignored and will add years of life onto your pieces if it is picked up early.

If there is damage, avoid wearing this piece until you can come in so we can take a proper look. You wouldn't want to loose your diamond!

Cleaning at home

If your jewellery comes into contact with something harmful it's important to make sure you give it a quick clean before bringing it in for a more thorough check. We sell an excellent jewellery cleaning kit with easy to follow instructions, however if you don't have one you can also follow this easy method below. We don't recommend always using this method to clean your jewellery as it is only a quick fix and you must give your diamonds some extra love and care to ensure they remain sparkling.

Prepare a small bowl of warm water with mild dishwashing detergent. Brush pieces gently with a soft toothbrush and rinse thoroughly under warm running water. Pat dry with a clean, soft cloth and repeat this process as necessary.
